New York: one woman, one terrace, twelve seasons.
Joe's Dairy on Sullivan near Houston makes good mozzarella and a fine burrata, too.
Yes. Zingerman's in Ann Arbor Mi makes one. I wish Narragansett Creamery in RI did, because all their other cheeses are out of this world.
Bel Gioso out of Wisconsin makes one...saw it for first time in Giant Eagle, Columbus. Don't know if they distribute in your area.
Bel gioso is distributed here as is most Wisconsin cheese. I think I may have seen the burrata at some point but can't remember where. Fairway? Any number of Italian specialty stores must make it in house. Maybe Caputo on court. They just renovated.
Make your own! Homemade burrata is one of my favorite things and I would so love to see a Marie riff on the process!
Gioia cheese company in Southern CA makes it- I've been to several LA restaurants that use theirs. Would love to see a post on homemade burrata as well!
Looks SO crazy delicious....heading to the farm stand now...what a perfect lunch!!
I'm pretty sure that the burrata at Murray's Cheese (I visit the one at Grand Central regularly) is from upstate or Vermont. --Klaus
Maplebrook Farm in VT makes a lovely burrata, available at Murray's cheese (and I think elsewhere? We could get it back in RI, too): http://www.maplebrookvt.com/index.php/products/burrata
I just posted a great grilled zuke and burrata recipe today....I could eat it everyday.
Thank you, everyone. I should open my eyes a little wider, it seems.
Another thumbs up for the Maplebrook burrata!
